A Davenport is tucked into an alcove which is a lovely nook to sit and write your postcards. The tall sash window, which has a blind matching the overthrow on the bed, overlooks the breakfast courtyard. There’s a large wardrobe with ample space to store your belongings and suitcases so that the room doesn’t become cluttered. Under the window is a hand-made Macramé table made by Mina, as well as a large chair with a zebra motif cushion. The African carved chair has a fascinating story which Mina and Barry will tell anyone who wishes to hear it. Sheep skin rugs on the Oregon pine floor reflect the African theme while hand-crafted Kiaat bathroom doors with Bushmen painting designs lead into the en-suite bathroom. A glass brick panel built into the outside wall creates a soft glow of natural light, which filters into the bedroom. The Green Room at Jambo Guest House is a slightly smaller room which comes with a large Oregon pine wood desk and a yellowwood chair. This offers plenty of space for business travellers who need to work or study. The walls are expertly decorated with paint techniques, in green and cream hues, lending the room a very peaceful atmosphere. A queen-sized bed equipped with dual control electric blankets is covered with a green quilted overthrow and scatter cushions. Two wall mounted bedside lights brighten the room and an antique rocking armchair sits positioned next to a small round yellowwood table. At the foot of the bed a Persian Rug Runner decorates the Oregon pine flooring. On either side of the bed are soft Flokati rugs. There are two small wardrobes to keep your clothes and belongings in. The room has a lovely antique oak table with two chairs and a small writing table. Persian carpets cover the polished Oregon pine floors and a charming chandelier lights the room. A beautiful canopy suspends from the ceiling, matching the quilted overthrow on the bed. The queen-sized bed is equipped with dual control electric blankets and flexible reading lights. The largest of the rooms at Jambo Guest House is the Honeymoon Suite. The room opens onto the garden, which offers direct access to the street. You can lie in bed looking at the garden while listening to the birds chirping. Several chandeliers hang from the ceiling which has exposed beams. The room has plenty of lights and has a romantic four poster bed. The table and chairs on the raised section with balustrades create an intimate dining or working space, and all the furniture in the room is antique. In the front of the room is a sitting area that has two large chairs with leather seats and a table, a sleeper couch and a teak wardrobe. The bathroom has a spa bath with a hand shower and an overhead shower. The basin pedestal is solid African mahogany which is complemented by beautiful wall lights. The ceiling and walls were painted by a professional artist featuring Trompe L`Oeil paintings. A top window pane was left clear so that the church steeple is visible in the distance.
